Arizona construction equipment demand

If you sell or rent construction equipment in Arizona, this page helps you get to know the jobs and contractors around the state. Filmore brings together project and permit records, then adds equipment details from company filings. You'll find local companies, job addresses, and a map, with closer looks at Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott, and Yuma. We've also looked into the work behind the permits, from new school buildings to grading and underground utilities. The equipment records cover whole companies, not machines counted at each jobsite.

The local picture

Schools, commercial sites, and road work

Around Phoenix, the plans include more than another building on an empty lot. St. Mary-Basha Catholic School in Chandler is seeking permits for a gym and classrooms on its existing campus. The plans also call for new water and sewer connections. In Buckeye, a proposed four-story storage building includes its own site and utility work. Both were still in review when we checked, so they're projects being planned rather than confirmed reports of crews on site.

Farther north, the details get smaller but more specific. On East Sumner Place in Rimrock, several permits name Century Communities and describe how much soil will be cut and filled on individual lots. In Chino Valley, new-home permits on Dillon Boulevard include separate septic systems. Those records tell us more about the digging involved than a count of new homes would on its own.

Tucson adds a larger road project to the picture. Sundt and Jacobs are rebuilding the I-10 stretch between Kino Parkway and Country Club Road, including interchange work. ADOT lists construction through summer 2028. That highway project isn't part of the new-building totals below, but it's worth knowing about alongside the smaller warehouse, storage, and commercial projects on the list.

Who to call

Contractors and the equipment they run

The companies here handle different parts of that work. Phoenix-based Markham Contracting grades sites, builds pavement, and installs water and sewer lines for residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation projects. Felix Construction focuses on water and wastewater, including treatment plants and pump stations. Both have excavators and backhoes in their equipment records.

In Yuma, DPE Construction handles earthwork, paving, concrete, and underground utilities. Its services include digging retention basins and installing lift stations, as well as preparing sites for new buildings. These profiles help explain what each business does. They're not a claim that those companies are working on the school, storage site, or highway mentioned above.

About the data on this page

New-build jobs include homes, commercial buildings and other new construction. Maintenance and renovation work aren't in these counts. The map shows jobs with coordinates, so it won't include every job in the list.

Contractors are matched through offices or project activity in this market. Fleet details are company-wide equipment on file, not verified purchases or a count of machines at these sites. Public filings often arrive 30–90 days after the event. The refresh badge is the page's update date; individual dates appear in the tables.
