Prescott construction equipment demand
If your territory includes Prescott and the surrounding area, this page helps you get to know both the jobs and the companies nearby. Filmore brings together project and permit records with equipment details from company filings. The area covered here is Yavapai County, so it includes Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Verde Valley communities as well as Prescott itself. You'll find addresses and a map below, along with details about grading, underground work, and the contractors that handle it.

Grading, utilities, and neighborhood construction
Some of the clearest earthwork details here come from individual grading permits. On East Sumner Place in Rimrock, several 2026 permits name Century Communities and describe cutting and filling soil on adjoining lots. One calls for about 450 cubic yards of combined cut and fill. These aren't large commercial projects, but the permits describe actual earthwork rather than just saying another house is planned.
In Chino Valley, permits on Dillon Boulevard name Castle Rock and cover new homes with separate septic systems. The septic permits add a part of the job that's easy to miss in a simple home count. They also help explain why the construction list includes work for excavation and utility contractors, not only homebuilders. An issued permit still doesn't tell us which crews are on the property today.
Fann Contracting's Bright Star project in Chino Valley shows what a larger neighborhood infrastructure job can involve. Its published scope includes water and sewer mains, storm drainage, road preparation, asphalt, and curbs. It also calls for trenching for electrical and gas utilities. Fann's project description doesn't give a completion date, so we're using it to explain the company's work rather than calling it a newly started job.
Who to call
Contractors and the equipment they run
Fann Contracting is based in Prescott and handles roads, underground utilities, and other heavy construction. Bright Star is a useful example of how much of a neighborhood contract can sit outside the buildings themselves. Fann's company equipment records include excavators, but they don't say which machines are assigned to that project.
Specialty Grading is based in Prescott Valley. Its equipment filings include skid steers, compact track loaders, and excavators, giving you another local company to learn about alongside Fann. The records cover each whole business and aren't a current equipment inventory. We haven't tied Specialty Grading to the Sumner Place or Dillon Boulevard permits.

Prescott construction map
The Prescott label covers a wider area here. Jobs appear around Prescott and Chino Valley, but also in Rimrock, Cottonwood, and other Verde Valley communities. The map helps show those separate groups, rather than treating every Yavapai County address as a job in Prescott itself.

Construction jobs to check in Prescott
The jobs below include recent grading and building permits from across the county. We've checked the underlying permits because some older, withdrawn applications still appear in the wider records. Those aren't evidence of new construction. The examples focus on work with a clear scope and distinguish approved permits from plans still being reviewed.

New-build jobs include homes, commercial buildings and other new construction. Maintenance and renovation work aren't in these counts. The map shows jobs with coordinates, so it won't include every job in the list.
Contractors are matched through offices or project activity in this market. Fleet details are company-wide equipment on file, not verified purchases or a count of machines at these sites. Public filings often arrive 30–90 days after the event. The refresh badge is the page's update date; individual dates appear in the tables.
