Lafayette construction equipment demand
If you sell or rent equipment around Lafayette, this page helps you see the jobs and contractors in the area. Filmore combines project and permit records with equipment listed in company filings. You can see where jobs are planned, which companies are named in the records, and what equipment those companies have on file. A new school on the J.W. Faulk campus is one example: its permits cover a sewer-line move and temporary construction power, as well as the school itself. Most of the records here are in Lafayette Parish, with smaller groups in Acadia and Vermilion.

School construction and work around new buildings
The new school at 2416 Louisiana Avenue has to fit around a campus that's still in use. Its permit says J.W. Faulk will stay open while the new building goes up on the north half of the property. After the move, the old school is due to be demolished. Other records at the address cover relocating a sewer line and power for the construction trailer. J.B. Mouton is named on the project, and the temporary-power record identifies the work as the Paul Breaux K-8 project.
Elsewhere in Lafayette, smaller buildings come with their own sitework. A medical office planned at 1715 Camellia Boulevard includes new parking and sidewalks, with a wood-frame building on shallow foundations. At 125 Southcity Parkway, a permit covers a new vehicle service building and sitework, plus equipment changes in the existing shop. Those details help separate a new building on an occupied property from a simple interior refit.
Road work is part of the picture too. Lafayette's August update scheduled the Robley Drive closure at East Broussard Road through November 21 for roundabout construction. Closing that approach lets traffic keep moving on East Broussard while crews build the new junction. This public project sits outside the new-building permit totals below.
Who to call
Contractors and the equipment they run
J.B. Mouton is a Lafayette builder whose work includes schools, healthcare buildings, offices, and industrial facilities. It's named in the records for both the new school on Louisiana Avenue and the service building on Southcity Parkway. The permits support those connections; they don't identify every trade contractor on either site.
Glenn Lege Construction is based in Youngsville. Its crews clear land, move dirt, improve weak soil, install drains, and pave roads. The company works on subdivisions, commercial sites, and public projects. Its equipment filings describe the company fleet, so they shouldn't be read as a count of machines working at the school or any other single job.

Some of these plans are still being reviewed. The application for a new restaurant at 2201 Johnston Street includes demolition, parking, and utility work. The proposed law-enforcement office building on West Willow Street is also under review. The table's estimated stages don't replace those permit statuses or confirm that construction has started.

New-build jobs include homes, commercial buildings and other new construction. Maintenance and renovation work aren't in these counts. The map shows jobs with coordinates, so it won't include every job in the list.
Contractors are matched through offices or project activity in this market. Fleet details are company-wide equipment on file, not verified purchases or a count of machines at these sites. Public filings often arrive 30–90 days after the event. The refresh badge is the page's update date; individual dates appear in the tables.
