Baton Rouge construction equipment demand
Filmore brings Baton Rouge-area construction jobs and contractor equipment records into one place. If you're new to the area, this page helps you see what kinds of jobs are on file and which companies work nearby. The job list comes from project and permit records. The fleet details come from company filings and cover each whole business. You'll see work beyond Baton Rouge itself, including storage sites in Prairieville and warehouse plans in Gonzales and Geismar. We've also checked the I-10 project for a closer look at the road and bridge work through the city.

Storage sites, warehouses, and highway work
In Prairieville, a storage project at 39503 Highway 42 has a permit for two one-story buildings. The plans cover grading and utilities as well as the buildings themselves. Nearby, a second permit at 39513 Highway 42 includes concrete drive aisles and parking. Rose Hill Builders is named on both records. The permits were issued in April; they describe the work allowed, not which machines are on the site today.
Farther south in Gonzales, St. John Properties is named on two applications for warehouse shells at 8204 and 8212 Highway 44. Each describes about 32,600 square feet, with loading docks and space for future office and warehouse tenants. Both applications were still awaiting approval when we checked.
On I-10, Kiewit and Boh Bros. are working together on the widening. Supplier Arcosa describes retaining-wall work near Dalrymple Drive, where weak soil called for lightweight fill to reduce the load. Its project account also names James Construction Group as a major subcontractor. This road work adds context to the local market, but isn't included in the building-permit totals below.
Who to call
Contractors and the equipment they run
Beard Construction Group is based across the river in Port Allen. It prepares industrial sites, builds concrete structures, and installs driven piles. Roads and rail work are part of its business too. Filmore's company records include excavators and articulated dump trucks for Beard, without assigning those machines to a particular site.
Rose Hill Builders appears on the Prairieville storage permits and a separate proposed storage site on Millerville Road in Baton Rouge. That application includes paving, two driveways, underground stormwater pipe, and a detention pond.

The project table includes plans at different points in the permit process. At 34464 Terminal Court in Geismar, a June permit covers a roughly 10,000-square-foot office and warehouse building. Haddad Contractors is named on that record. An issued permit confirms permission for the work; it doesn't confirm today's construction stage.

New-build jobs include homes, commercial buildings and other new construction. Maintenance and renovation work aren't in these counts. The map shows jobs with coordinates, so it won't include every job in the list.
Contractors are matched through offices or project activity in this market. Fleet details are company-wide equipment on file, not verified purchases or a count of machines at these sites. Public filings often arrive 30–90 days after the event. The refresh badge is the page's update date; individual dates appear in the tables.
