Fort Bend accounts for most of the Houston list
More than six out of every ten records are in Fort Bend County. Most are residential, but there's commercial work in the mix too. At 6110 Sienna Ranch Road in Missouri City, plans cover underground utilities, grading, concrete paving and pad preparation on 5.18 acres for seven one-story office buildings.
Uptown has a very different kind of project. A state filing made in June 2026 describes a proposed 44-story Ritz-Carlton at 2120 Post Oak Boulevard, with 154 hotel rooms, 114 private residences, restaurants and shared amenity space. The filing gives September 2026 as a possible start date, so the project is still planned at this point.

Houston construction map
The biggest group of records is in Fort Bend County, with another large group in Harris County. Sienna Office Center and the proposed Post Oak tower show how different the suburban and central Houston projects can be.

Construction jobs to check in Houston
The Sienna Office Center record covers the early civil work for seven buildings. The proposed Post Oak tower is a much larger mixed-use development, although its stated construction start is still in the future. Both give more context than an address and a permit count by themselves.

New-build jobs include homes, commercial buildings and other new construction. Maintenance and renovation work aren't in these counts. The map shows jobs with coordinates, so it won't include every job in the list.
Contractors are matched through offices or project activity in this market. Fleet details are company-wide equipment on file, not verified purchases or a count of machines at these sites. Public filings often arrive 30–90 days after the event. The refresh badge is the page's update date; individual dates appear in the tables.
