Three bridges were under construction along Florida's Turnpike in Osceola County when Jr. Davis reported on the widening in February 2026. The contractor is taking the road from four lanes to eight, with a new northbound alignment, retaining walls, and storm drainage in the plan.

Three bridges and a wider Turnpike
The widening runs between Partin Settlement Road and Osceola Parkway. In a February 2026 update, Jr. Davis described bridges under construction at Partin Settlement, Simpson Road, and the US-192 on-ramp. Alongside those crossings, crews were installing mechanically stabilized earth walls and storm drainage while developing the new northbound roadway. Several kinds of heavy civil work were moving at once along the same stretch of highway.
Jr. Davis has worked on highway widenings and interchange improvements around Central Florida since 1985. The company is based in Kissimmee, close to the Osceola County stretch of the Turnpike.
East of Orlando, the Lake Nona hospital has moved beyond its heaviest ground work. Crews removed thousands of tons of soil and installed more than 1,000 concrete piles before the ten-story building went up. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor. The hospital topped out in 2025, and construction started on a separate medical office building next door. AdventHealth now targets December 2026 to open the hospital.
