Miami construction equipment demand

Building and utility work in South Florida
ARCO began building the Progresso Drive storage site for 4 Rivers Property Group in September 2025. One of its five buildings will have five stories and cover 107,394 square feet. The other four will have one story each, bringing the total to 147,385 square feet. Part of one lot is set aside for public use.
The new water main is part of the same plan. ARCO's contract covers design and construction. It's also handling permits, the water main, and the plan to join the two lots. ARCO aims to finish in November 2026, if the plat is approved. Extra Space Storage plans to run the site after it opens.

ARCO says it's designing and building the Progresso Drive site. The company also builds storage sites, industrial buildings, and warehouses. The other contractors listed here have equipment on file in South Florida, but their records don't put them on ARCO's site.
Miami-based Downrite Engineering digs lakes, lays water and sewer lines, builds lift stations and roads, and paves sites. Its equipment records list excavators, loaders, dozers, and rollers across the company.

There's another Fort Lauderdale site at Holiday Park. Work began in December 2025 on a 60,000-square-foot YMCA and a separate 12,000-square-foot Broward Health emergency room. They share land near Federal Highway and NE 8th Street. The YMCA expects to open in 2027.
